The Brighton Dragon Boat Club paddles on the scenic waters of Presqu’ile Bay, launching from the municipal dock at Gosport near the Harbourview Marina Restaurant. Session routes vary based on weather and water conditions and are guided by experienced steers. Each session is led by a qualified coach and includes an on-land warm-up, on-water warm-up, skill instruction with focused drills, and a fitness component tailored to the session type. BDBC offers a range of paddling programs for new paddlers, returning members, and those interested in racing. With experienced coaches and steers, you’ll build fitness, develop paddling skills, and connect with other members while enjoying the natural setting that has been home to our club since 2007. Our Mission Statement To inspire the residents of Brighton to improve and support their physical fitness, enhance their community connections and nurture their love of nature through dragon boat programs designed for all skill levels. Inclusivity Statement At Brighton Dragon Boat Club, inclusivity is at our core. We welcome members of all backgrounds, cultures, identities, and belief systems, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. A dragon boat moves best when we paddle together, with respect, unity, and a shared spirit of teamwork.
